Anyway, no point in going on about this. But I will anyway:

I suggested that the eye scratcher might have had a particular
motive. There is an /opposite sentiment/ very roughly in this
regard to be seen in a scene in Cool Hand Luke (1967, Paul
Newman, George Kennedy...). The work detail or "chain-gang" were
out and a provocatively dressed woman with a provocatively
proportioned body was washing a car in a provocative manner. One
of the sweating, staring, stunned, totally mesmerised young
prisoners pleaded with God not to let him go blind in the next
few minutes...
