There is an old thread on the smarty-dev mailing list that concerns
this (I think from early last year -- you will have to search for it).
It is a little difficult but not undoable. I think everyone would find
it an agreeable addition no one seems to have any time to do anything
about it. Volounteers? (if so, reply at smarty-dev mailing list).
