Just recently bought an HP Pavilion zd8000 notebook and I'm having
problems with Firefox and Netscape not playing background sound (MIDI
format).
I have WMP, QuickTime, and Real Player installed, but when I open a page
(when using Firefox or Netscape) with a MIDI background sound I get the
notice that additional plugins are required. I follow the links and I
end up at the Apple QuickTime download page. But I already have it
installed.
Do I need to do something with these two browsers to activate the
players ?
The MIDI background sound does play when I use Explorer and Opera. And
I'm using the embed tag for the background sound.
Also, these same pages when viewed with an older desk top using Firefox
and Netscape do play the background sound, with the same players I
mentioned above installed.
Thanks for any help.
Later, Art.
