Flash is a great choice for many things. But one has to understand
that there are a few people for what ever reason, either can't see it
or choose not to see it. If losing this very small percentage of
visitors is acceptable to yor site, then Flash is awesome.

All the popular browsers use object or embed. So while you might get
an error with validation, you can be assured that if you use the
default html that flash creates for you, it will work in 96+% of your
visitors browsers (unless they have it turned off.) That statistic is
from Marcromedia.
