I know what you are saying Jonathan. But there is another
perspective that is very easy to forget. That is the idea of the
typical PC user. Ever met some of these, you guys? You see, it is
my business to know about the average, I have to send regular
reports back to home base. They absolutely don't want to hear
another thing about all the cluey people I have met. They are
simply fascinated by the clueless masses. Fair enough I guess,
since it is these that will suffer in the greatest numbers when
my planet decides to finally attack...
Someone may want to stop the average passerby grabbing things
from the front room. Best to at least keep the front door locked.
This is not going to protect the stuff from the cannier thief.
