Sure, we all know there are people out there who suffer great fear they
might get abducted by aliens. No question their pain is real, though
the reason is not.

It might be debatable if it makes sense to try talk such people out of
their paranoia, but the problem starts when they ask publicly, "What can
I do so aliens can't get me?"

If you answer at all, there is really no alternative to saying "nothing,
because your concern is unfounded".
