Hi heromull,

A typical INSERT statement would roughly look like this:

INSERT INTO Answers (CustomerId, TableNo, RowNo, [Value])
SELECT @CustomerId, @TableNo, COALESCE(MAX(RowNo),0) + 1, @Value
FROM Answers
WHERE CustomerId = @CustomerId
AND TableNo = @TableNo
