Actually, last time I checked, this was a COMPILE option to MySQL to be
case sensitive or not in = and LIKE.
The default is case insensitive.
It may also be configurable in /etc/my.cnf, but I don't think it was back
when I dug into this, way back when.
You'd have to actually read MySQL documentation or ask on a MySQL list to
get a definitive answer.
