To my shame I have one of those poxy little make a shorter link websites
called www.vhit.co.uk

Recently some people have been abusing it by typing in silly made up
urls like www.suck-my-dick-blah-blah.com sort of thing .

Any recommended methods I could use to check the url is valid before
accepting it ? .

Havent done anything like that before and be gentle :-)
