Sounds about right, I left high school in '78 :-O
It was mostly BASIC then, before the ZX80 etc it was either a PET or a
Tandy. If you wanted anything fancier/faster, you went to assembler or
scrounged some time on a machine running a compiler.
OMG I really am turning into a crusty old geek !
To bring it back on topic, I suppose computer dating then was fancying
the one girl in the computer club, she might not have been pretty, but
she seemed to know more than you about computers...!
