Hmmm... 1) I believe he was saying that it's not a hard and fast rule
that somebody would be offended. Personally I'm not offended at all if
somebody is married. Everybody makes mistakes... ;-)
2) I don't believe there is any law stating that an employer cannot ask
about your martial status. In fact I believe every application I've ever
filled out had a question about martial status.
