Actually giving legal advice when you are not a lawyer can be prosecuted
as practicing law without a license. Surely you knew that but perhaps not.

However there's no escaping the fact that the claim that it's illegal to
even put a question asking for marital status on an employment
application has been successfully refuted - don't you agree? (Probably not).
