Tom,

For something this simple it probably wouldn't hurt to code it
yourself. I realize that you don't want to reinvent the wheel but the
functionality you are looking for is very simple. Depending on how many
features you end up incorporating; a project like this would take a day
or so to complete and consist of less than 100 lines of PHP.
