I'm not 100% familure with the GD library, but it really sounds like this
kind of thing is beyond the scope of PHP in general as you're wanting to
change the content of a page without reloading it. That is more in the Java
relm I would think.

Although... if GD could make an animated gif... you could put together the
frames of the animation into one gif, then show that gif on screen for the
user to watch play out.

But I don't know if that's possible via GD or not.
