Hi everybody,
i'm looking for experts in apache configuration in combination with PHP.

Configuration
=========
I've configured an Apache server in combination with PHP. The machine runs
on a Windows 2000 Professional SP4.
Apache server is configured to load PHP as a native module.
The employed database server is SQL Server 2000 with the last service pack.
A software firewall is secure the whole thing.

My apache server runs perfectly while it's on the LAN, but when I put it
reachable through the WAN something strange happens randomly...
Apache server is not responding to any request, as if it is frozen, although
the OS is still responding.

As soon as I realized that Apache wasn't responding anymore, I checked if
the service was still started, it was the case.
So I stopped and started the service and then Apache was reachable and
running perfectly.

I've got the following question :
Is there any known bug in PHP that can freeze an Apache server or make it
crash ?
Crash in a special way, as the service is still running but unreachable.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Cordially,
David
