If I remember correctly, I believe PHP needs to be configured with the "mysql"
option. If you run the the "phpinfo()" function from a test page on your Apache
setup, that should list the details of your PHP configuration. If MySQL is
installed it should be listed there. If not you might need to adjust the order,
maybe installing MySQL first, then installing PHP with the MySQL option.
