"I tried cookie-based authentication only I never received the prompt
to
login, not even after closing and reopening the browser, hence, that's
why I did HTTP instead.

I posted that earlier. I did it this order:

1) config: Works fine, but no login prompt, go right to page
2) cookie: see above
3) http: works fine only in login, but never logs out
