Hello friends,

I want to know if it is possible to develop a browser based application
for the local desktop (running win XP) without the need for a web
server.

This should be something like google desktop search. I should be able
to submit a form to say a php script but without the web server
running. Google desktop search uses the following url (on my pc)
http://127.0.0.1:4664/&s=eHBfrbI3_MvaWmn9J9x2UG-xh6U .

If this is atall possible please tell me the details like where the php
script is to be stored and what url is to be used to access the same.
