yes. matthew handed me my ass. unless you consider the fact that he
doesnt know what hes talking about as far as the japanese language
goes. which is how this started. since my brother has always been
pretty good at languages (he now speaks 6 languages), and since he
spent 5 years over in japan for a sales job (and then 6 years in Hong
Kong, during the change), id tend to take his word for it over an
obsessive, occasionally delusional, non-world-travelling, probable
meth/coke addict like matthew. certainly, im sure matthew understand
20 or 30 japanese words, being as obsessed as he is over pure japanese
anime. but if you stuck matthew in the middle of tokyo, id bet hed be
pissing people off left and right, as usual, but this time because he
isnt using the proper tense or personal pronouns and is calling a
policeman by a tense used only for addressing small children.

as to whether the cartoon network stuff is anime, as defined by
matthew, again, i dont really care what hardcore obsessive delusional
addicts like matthew think as far as categorization of video goes.
whats on cn may not be as good as learning japanese and watching the
originals, but it STILL totally kicks ass over the OTHER crap thats on
CN and US tv in general. so, just like pizza isnt really very
italian, is that going to stop you from eating a tasty slice? are you
so obsessed with italian food that anything that isnt pure italian is
therefor considered crap? see my point?

the fact that matthew just HAD to jump in and "correct" me on my
original post speaks VOLUMES about him. because, like i said, whether
its real japan anime or a watered down version, it STILL kicks ass
compared to the local competition. a sense of perspective is lacking
from most of matthews posts.

what absolutely KILLS me with laughter is him just spewing invective
and general crap and THEN telling me to try TM just like HE does.
"just look what its done for me" hes said in the past!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAA yeah, matthew, ill really try TM for mental
