Even I would confess that the Apple OS distribution model is much simpler.

By the way, I currently have two machines:

1) an old Pentium III Wintel, on which I run XP Pro (but not for a while.
It's much too noisy and slow for me. In addition, I don't like the monitor
(display, as Mac users call them). It takes up much too much space on the
table.
2) a first-generation PowerMac G5 (1.63Ghz), on which I run OS 10.4.6, and
which has an older Apple 17" Studio Display.

In a few weeks, I will have a third box, a 17" Intel iMac (first generation),
which my brother got through his membership in the Apple Developer
Connection, along with a 20" Apple wide-screen Display (newest generation).
I plan on either using Parallel's Workstation or BootCamp on this machine, so
that I may run XP either in a virtual machine alongside OS 10.4.6 or as a
dual-boot with OS 10.4.6

Of course, I spend all my time using the PowerMac G5. Let's face it, XP runs
like a snail on the old Pentium.

I have been using OS X for over a year and a half, so I know a little (but
not much, apparently) about OS X.
