alt.religion.scientology is a good example of that. Scientology have tried
eagerly to make it go away for the past 10 years or so.
They have had their laywers sending rmgroup control messages, with demand
for removal on grounds of; trademark, copyright and trade secret
violations, but that didn't fly.
They have webpages specially dedicated to long time posters there, and for
some spread flyers in their neighborhood, exposing them as criminals,
sexual deviants, insane or whatever they can come up with.
Nowadays they just spam the place, but their aberrated critics apparently
know how to use a killfilter.
So, yeah difficult.
