The . operator has the same precedence as + and -, the wisdom of which
is debatable. I don't think it's intuitive that
echo 2+2 . ' = 2 + 2';
prints out '4 = 2 + 2' while
echo '2 + 2 = ' . 2+2;
prints out 4.
