Sounds to me like your provider upgraded MySQL and missed a step.
This is an error that has come up quite often for those using PHP 5.x
and MySQL 5.x. I had this problem, as well. I don't know what OS
your provider is running, so the solution may not be the same.
Unfortunately, I am running this setup on my girlfriend's computer and
she really does not want me to install Linux. So, she is running Win
XP SP2.
