A good way to have the best of both worlds is to eliminate the "about"
using the information from it on the "splash" page. SEs will find all
that juicy text on the index while visitors still see that nice
"splash" and can scroll down a bit to find out what the site is about.

Like others, I like the site. You seem to have the eye for design that
many of us "developers" don't have. Nice job despite the frames which
as others have said can be changed easily to a no-frames site.
