I just validated the orgnal (bad) CSS at
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator . It said:

"Invalid number : background Too many values or values are not
recognized : url(http://i.microsoft.com/h/en-us/i/msnlogo.gif)
no-repeat right middle"
