There is no halfway house. You either see the problems that can be caused by
allowing functions with the *same spelling* but *different case* to be
*different* functions and want to prevent them, or you encourage them. If
you allow the language to have such a feature then some programmers will use
it while others will abuse it. That is why different languages and different
programming standards disallow the use of such things as the GOTO verb -
because of the potential to produce obfuscated and unmaintainale code.
