I understand what you're trying to accomplish, but I would advise you
against it. If I think about it from the perspective of the user's
friends who will receive the email, I'm going to wonder why my friend
is spamming me, first of all, and then lose respect for the advertised
site secondly (and maybe give the friend a swift kick in the rear,
thirdly).
Like or not, this is spamming. It may be on a small scale, and only
amongst friends, but it is still spamming.
If your service is truly good and pleases the user, then they will
remember you the next time they hear a friend mention wanting something
similar and recommend you without the need for a bulk email.
