It's a good idea to have a page which allows the user to send a message
to a friend. What's a bad idea is going out to their address book
without their permission and sending these messages.
A lot of sites I use, and even some I've created, have the former. And
if you have a good site it can bring hits. But I wouldn't create one
with the latter.
