First, there were consequences of a particularly nasty kind to do with the
publicity and revelations. Secondly, just imagine how parents might feel
about any unsupervised contact with their kids. Third, he had better now
watch his back, both legally and literally - not every parent is as
civilised and restrained as is desirable and there would be others that
would want to exact some form of revenge.
