| i mean he shouldn't set ID (id field in db) via form - THIS IS STUPID not
| rest!!!!
then your english needs MUCH work!
| and ofc he should to check post data everytime but he no need to ecape INT
| values when he will insert it into DB he can caste it to INT it is
enought -
| if he expect some value he should to check values before insert it is
| constanst
who cares about the casting to INT or backslashing a number? the op's
question was, 'how can i tell if a record as already been added based on an
existing id?' FURTHER, if you ever did consulting work, it is *common* that
the product id **is set manually** and you have NO control over whether a db
assigns is - whether it should or should not. product id's are RARELY
INTEGERS!!! you need to get out in the real world more...or just stick to
answering THE ACTUAL QUESTION.
| >>> fucking troll.
| > i see. it is all clear now. you're a 12 year old pre-pube.
|
| fucking troll? do you still watch the fables?
'troll' in a ng forum describes a very real character who's only involvement
in such a group is to cast dispersion, hurl insults, or try to incite
flamitory responses by the language and attitudes expressed in said troll's
post/reply.
you sir, are a troll.
| now i understand why i can see your asnwer on all posts - this is your
job.
| but think about it, everyone can post opinion, and this fact you earn
money
| on it doesn't mean all your ideas are totally correct, everyone can be
| wrong, and i still think X files it is not good idea for multilanguage
page,
| one file and DB rox
this is not my job. i have a couple of free days while my code is being
tested and implemented by others on my team. it is a much needed break.
as for experienced oppinion? being a programmer, i can only see that (just
in logic 101 in college philosophy) it is nothing more than fallacy to
assume correctness in hypothesis based on positions of authority. however
and equally as illogical, is to assume that an uninformed and unexperienced
oppinion is equally likely of being CORRECT when compared to such an
'authored' viewpoint. the difference and most important thing to do is to
listen and evaluate what is being offered. you have failed to do either and
maintain your own inexperienced oppinion of things rather than someone elses
who just may have been around the block a few more times than you. you are
short-changing your own learning development.
your loss.
