Prevent users being kicked off

Posted by turnitup on 10/17/06 20:08

Dear All,

I have a slight problem, even though I have set up a discrete session
path with write access, and my session files are being set there, users
still get intermittently "kicked off", i.e. navigation from one page to
another can result in the session being reset.

Here is what appears at the top of all my files.

==============

ini_set("session.cache_expire", 3600);
ini_set('session.gc_maxlifetime', 3600);
ini_set("session.cookie_lifetime", 3600);

session_save_path(/blah/blah);
session_set_cookie_params(3600);

session_start();

===============

Any ideas? Surely the garbage collector only deals with expired sessions?
