I love them up until about three-four weeks ago.. At that time they seem
to become very unresponsive or slow. They finally made the announcement
that they were updating their hardware and would be back in few days.
Three weeks later they finally are running better than before. I have a
database I still can not connect to. I think they are trying to upgrade
from MySQL 4.something to 5.0. Again, they never tell you what they are
doing so you have no idea of downtime. It has been 4 weeks since I could
connect to the mysql database. I still get no response back about it
from their support email address. I have gotten back answers from other
questions and problems.
As of few days ago they are back and seem to be running faster than
before. If they stay up and running like they are now I would recommend
them. I am just gun shy. They did just exclude POP and SMTP. They now
have no mail service which is a pain in the ass.
I would definitely go to 9999mb.com but my website uses non traditional
file extension type names. They only allow certain file extensions on
their servers.. Example .html, .php, .jpg......... They have a list at
their website. http://www.9999mb.com
They 9999mb.com trying to add more banners, besides the one at the
bottom, but are getting a lot of resistance from their members. So they
actually pulled them which was nice to hear for many reasons. They offer
the most I have seen for a free hosting site.
