Don't use tables for layout.
Don't make up your own Doctype (

Avoid Transitional Doctypes
Use valid (http://validator.w3.org/ ) HTML.
Don't use paragraphs consisting of single non-breaking spaces for
padding.
Don't use spacer gifs.
Don't have blank alt text for images that include content.
Avoid fixed width layouts
Avoid pictures of text
Don't title documents "Untitled Document"
