I can't open the address. I'll suppose it's an audio stream. Browsers can
handle natively only a small subset of file types: text and some images.
For other types they use plugins or external apps. So you need to find a
plugin that has versions for all OS and browser combinations and built an
HTML page to hold it.
If you're worried about compatibility, I'd say that your current system is
probably the best.
