Hey, thanks!

I always figured ffmpeg only did, you know, mpeg. It seems it supports
a wide variety of formats. While it does seem to lack support for some
QuickTime formats, it seems to at least support standard mp4, h.264
and such.

But, it didn't seem to support AVI or DivX... hmmm, or did I miss it?

And, some on-topic linux stuff:

If I would install it, it would actually *remove* my kernel? Yeah,
that's uhm... great. :)
