What you are describing is what is done by a CMS, a Content Management
System. You might be able to tweak one of the existing ones (stick
CMS +free
into any search engine) but sometimes these try to be all things to
all men and can fall down between all sorts of stools, I've read that
some of them can be less than simple to configure, and for some
purposes they can be *too* powerful. It could be you would be better
suited by having a smaller set of scripts written especially for you.

As for importing your existing data easily, whatever system you use,
such data must be in a regular, set format. Once you have that,
importing it is a one-step procedure.
