Did initially use XAMPP a couple of years ago, to see the config files
it made.
Can say that Apache, PHP & MySQL loaded up just fine onto an RC1 of
Vista from about a year ago, so can only imagine XAMPP will work as well.
(To install, just replicated the directory structure over to the Vista
RC box, ran a couple of batch files to include MySQL & Apache as
start-up services.)
