Well, obviously. 
 
You have: 
 
	$res = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM table1"); 
	... 
	$res = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM table2"); 
	if(!$res) 
	   return; 
 
$res is still going to be set as a result of your first query. 
 
Use unset($res) between each query.
