| Hi
|
| I have just set up a computer on Windows Server 2003 which works
| wonderfully with my two laptops.

then why are your posting?

| I have partitiioned the drive in 2 one for the system files and one to
| be used as a testing web server as below
|
| C: Windows server 2003
| M; website server

and we care because?

| So that no-one can get driectly ont o my websites all my websites are
| set under a directory called "websites" like below
|
| M:\websites\wofm2\
| M:\websites\jmhphotos\

that's great that you think that gives you any measure of security. reality
is usually more frightening than fiction. i see you've shyed away from it
with that line of thinking.

| So, when I am opn my laptop I put
| http://wofm2/test.html
| or
| http://jmhphotos/test.html
|
| This works for html files, but not for php files like
| http://wofm2/test.php
|
| (The files are there - the test one being phpinfo().

hmmm...you are a windows user to the core. ever wonder why windows uses
extensions? ever wonder how double clicking a file 'magically' opens the
right application to view a file's data? put your thinking cap on...we'll
wait.

| How do i set up the php for my test server?

aside from useless information, you fail to give *any* that would allow us
to help you! such as whether or not you're running apache or IIS (incredibly
insecure server).

| Amy help or links would be helpful. I think it is having trouble
| locating the server.

who the fuck is amy?!!!

and as computers are currently not self-aware, i very seriously doubt your
server is taking some time off so it can find itself!

RTFM

| Many thanks in advance.

i'd thank you and other knobs not to post here prior to thinking, trying to
help yourself, reading the manual, or at least googling!!!
