Then you _don't_ need a browser sniffing script. On the contrary, you need a
design-for-all approach.

Then make the markup and the style sheet simpler. If you need specific help
with this, post a specific question.

Fine. But it's better to avoid problems than to fix them. If you get lots of
problem reports, you should probably change the design.

Well, _this_ is making some sense. Your original question sounded like the
typical browser-detection approach where the author intends to cover some
specific situations and wants to serve different page to different browsers.

This sounds like you are going deep into the sea of solving individual
problems as they come up, rather than designing robustly. But admittedly
such extraction of information might be useful at times. If I wanted that,
I'd check the comp.lang.javascript FAQs first and then post a question to
that group if needed.
