is anyone laughing harder than i am right now. perhaps the op would see the
same joke if this were put AFTER the following:
| proven experience in the following areas:
|
| 1 - Developing eCommerce websites.
| 2 - Hand coding of PHP/MySQL/HTML/CSS.
| 3 - Basic understanding of Javascript.
| 4 - Some experience with AJAX
| 5 - A understanding of usability and accessibility in websites.
| 6 - Good written and spoken English.
#6 ROFLMFAO !!! WELL written and spoken English...moron!
#5 ROFLMFAO !!! AN understanding of usability...
#2 ROFLMFAO !!! is there ANY OTHER WAY?
| useful to have the following skills:
|
| 1 - Experience with PHP/Flash integration.
| 2 - A creative eye and basic understanding of graphic packages like
| Photoshop.
| 3 - An understanding of SEO principles.
| 4 - Client facing experience
#4 ROFLMFAO !!! WTF is 'client facing?'
| You will be working from home and as such be expected to work without
| supervision and work to deadlines. It will be necessary to attend
| occasional technical/planning meetings as well as some client
| meetings.
so...YOU would reimburse for travel expenditures? ;^)
| If you feel you are the person that we're looking for then please send
| us your CV with a short cover letter to tell us why we should hire you
| along with at least 3 examples of work you have completed with the
| last 12 months to ann(at)rogueinteractive.co.uk
i would assume the reason WHY someone would apply is because they feel they
fit the bill, given what qualifications you have layed out...that, and
they're not wanting to make a descent living. do you expect they'll line up
for the change to place their provoscus in certain orifaces to make you feel
good about yourself/company?!
as for your grasp of reality as seen in your 'package', you are severely out
of touch. did you know the going rate for these *exact* qualifications
starts at around 40K u.s. in most regions of the states? did you know
regionally, that rate averages around 90K u.s. for those in san fransisco,
san diego, dallas, ny city (where php is dearly loved)?
i have a second job (first is software development too), i can make 25K with
ONE project that only takes THREE WEEKS to complete? and, that's not even
very mentally engaging work. oh, and my benefactor not only allows (even
encourages at times) me to charge them the going rate per hour (55 to 95
u.s.) for porting code from one project to another (which they've ALREADY
paid for), they also give me BONUSES of 25% of the total cost of the
project. did you miss the fact that that second job is as CONSULTANT...not a
normal EMPLOYEE? my experience is not out of the norm either. if we can
receive such wonderful compensation and appreciation from a company whom is
not our sole source of income, why should we expect less of the company for
whom it is?! treat your employees well. start off by making a REASONABLE
offer in salary!
you get what you pay for. if you are offering 25K PER ANUM, you aren't going
to like the results of the employee whom you have hired. the rest of us see
that 'package' as a joke...mainly because you don't see it as an insult -
which is wholly what it is.
best of luck though.
