Most people would regard a high percentage of original text as being a
good thing: in general, it indicates that you're contributing information
rather than simply regurgitating it.
Excessive quoting can make a post annoying to read, and the people on the
list of the lowest percentage of original text should consider this when
they post.
On the other hand, excessive trimming of a quoted post can be almost as
bad.
