Hello,
'Do you know, yet, what it is? I am afraid to speculate on what it is.
My footsteps seemed to tend so naturally to the shop door, after I had read
these words from over the way, that I went across the road and looked in.

stairs; and then, by a little back-door which seemed to have no lock, and
which Taddeo pushed open with a touch, into a small empty garret with a low
sloping roof, little better than a cupboard.
Mrs. Hugs appeared to be a long way off.
