You might be better off putting together a spare system and downloading and
installing a Unix/Linux. There's usually pre-packaged installations for PHP and
MySQL for that specific system (e.g. Red Hat, FreeBSD, etc.) and may be an
easier approach. I'm not familiar with the options available for XP so you might
need to download the individual services (MySQL, PHP, Apache) and install and
configure them to work correctly with each other.
