I was going to say the exact same thing. Windows XP is a *laughable*
attempt at a user login OS. It shouldn't even be a desktop not-to-
mention a server.

Granted, Ubuntu isn't (while usable) the best possibility for a server
OS either. Try something along the lines of Debian, Gentoo, or even a
Unix like FreeBSD or OpenBSD.

Ubuntu is great for a desktop environment, but I wouldn't suggest you
use it for a server.
