The SQL Server configuation tools will have to do. Make sure the defaults are over-ridden to make the server visible. Since SP3a SQL Server 2000 is
 configured to be invisible to the net. The TCP/IP protocol is disabled. See

 discusses the SQL Server Network Utility that's used to make these
 configuration changes.
