All kinds of weird solutions for this.
Here's what I ended up with:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.edgehill\.net$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://edgehill.net/$1 [NC,R=301,L]
