There is an element of truth to his comments, but the technique is
pretty much completely unused at the moment. Windows Vista and OSX (I
think) both ignore the physical pixel dimensions of the screen, the UI
being totally device independent. This means you can actually zoom in
and out the screen.
But this of course would be fairly useless for a full screen
application.
I think WinAmp has this feature, and Opera - now generally you don't
run either of these full screen and the ability to zoom in the entire
application UI is quite effective.
