My bad, I actually meant to say Brightcove, yes, YouTube does use the
rather deficient and outdated Sparc codec (which is why YouTube video
looks like ass).

Um, actually it's Blu-ray, and it supports more than just H.264 in
order to ensure backwards compatibility with DVDs.
