It's an annoying misconception and Netscape should have kept the
original name. I wonder if riding on the back of Java did help its
popularity to the point where if the name wasn't changed, we wouldn't

You don't need to exploit bugs, or do anything remotely untoward, to
make a user wish they'd disabled scripting.
